A short diary entry, the value of which comes from the fact that two peasants were able to travel from Kaga to the capital without apparent difficulty. What that suggests is that one year before the downfall of Masachika, the state of internal security in Kaga was relatively good – the roads were still passable, and the province had not been entirely overtaken by civil strife.
